APCON congratulates Babaeko, Adelusi on becoming presidents of AAAN and MIPAN

The acting registrar/chief executive officer of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON), Mrs. Ijedi Iyoha, has congratulated Mr. Steve Babaeko, chief executive officer of X3M Ideas and Mr. Femi Adelusi, chief executive officer of BrandEye Media/MediaPlus, on their emergence as presidents of Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN) and Media Independents Practitioners’ Association of Nigeria (MIPAN) respectively.

Mrs. Iyoha sent the congratulatory messages during the presentation of the 2019 Industry Evening Best Regulator Award won by the council in her office in Lagos.

The APCON boss also used the opportunity to restate the council’s commitment to enhancing professionalism in the advertising industry, noting that the regulatory body would do everything to ensure practitioners adhere to the good tenets of the practice.

According to her, the council has been making frantic efforts to ensure that the advertising industry in Nigeria is sanitized. “The 2019 general election could be attributed to that because we have a fairly regulated environment,” she said.

Speaking on the APCON Award, a member of the 2019 Awards Committee Panel, Mr. Daniel Obi, said: “History of APCON cannot be complete without the indelible contributions of Mrs. Iyoha whose trajectory in the establishment has been remarkable.”
