As the global shift towards sustainable energy accelerates, Nigeria is stepping up its commitment to a greener future. In line with this transition, the Nigerian Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Summit, Exhibition and Awards would hold on Thursday, May 22, 2025.
Organized by ESG Impact Consulting Ltd., a sustainability-focused firm dedicated to developing practical solutions for Nigeria’s environmental and social challenges, the event, scheduled for Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, would commence at 11 am.
According to the organizers, this year’s theme, “Nigeria’s Green Transition Efforts and Climate Change Revolution,” highlights the growing role of climate action as both an environmental imperative and an economic opportunity. The summit will delve into the transformative potential of climate policy in shaping Africa’s development and redefining the global energy landscape.
Key topics for presentation at the summit include Nigeria’s expanding climate change legislation, the ambitious Project Evergreen and emerging carbon markets.
The organisers revealed that ESG Exhibition will offer organizations a strategic platform to engage their target markets, display innovations, and reaffirm their commitment to sustainability. It’s designed to maximize brand exposure, enhance visibility, and build strategic relationships with stakeholders in a cost-effective manner.
“Complementing the summit and exhibition is the 2025 National Sustainability Achievement Awards, which will honour organizations making outstanding contributions to sustainable development in Nigeria. These awards recognize entities that meet human needs while conserving national resources and advancing environmental stewardship,” ESG Impact Consulting said.
With the 2025 ESG Summit, Nigeria is taking bold steps to lead the continent in the green transition—turning climate challenges into opportunities for sustainable growth and innovation.
