After meritoriously serving the Federal Government of Nigeria for over two and a half decades in the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON), Mrs. Ijedi Iyoha, frpa, has retired from active service, effective December 5, 2023.
She is a fellow of the advertising profession with vast experience and proven skills of more than two and half decades of Advertising Ethics, Integrated Marketing Communications and related areas. She acted in the capacity of Registrar/DG of ARCON (then APCON) for a period of three years.
She served in various capacities in the Council and represented the Council at national and international programmes, delivering lectures in advertising and advertising regulatory topics in diverse spheres.
Mrs. Iyoha holds a BA (ED) and M.Sc. Mass Communication certificates and post graduate diploma in Advertising and Event Management, Human Resources Management, among others. She is a member of the International Advertising Association (IAA).
A motivational speaker, youth and women empowerment executive, and inspirational communicator, Mrs. Iyoha devotes and time and resources in inspiring young talents to reach their ambitions through constructive engagements in their desired endeavours.
She is a devoted Christian, wife and mother who greatly cherish the company of family and friends. She is selfless, fearless and courageous in advocating strict moral disciplines beneficial to society. She is a member of the Christian Friends Society (CFS) and a member and past coordinator of the St. John Guild of Stewards, Iju Shaga.
Breaking the news last month in her facebook page, she said: “Grateful for an incredible career journey! i have officially retired from the Public Service and ARCON. It’s been a privilege to work with amazing colleagues and friends. Cherishing the memories and looking forward to new adventures ahead. Thank you all for the support, encouragement and love shown to me. May our paths cross again.”
